Katelyn Bell
Katelyn Bell is an auditor for the Department of the Interior’s Office of Inspector General’s Infrastructure Oversight and Coordination Division. Ms. Bell joined the Office of Inspector General in August 2018, assisting on Tribal audits and then completed numerous Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act informational flash reports, inspections, and audits before moving to her new division. Ms. Bell is now performing inspection and evaluations on the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) funds totaling $12.56 billion for abandoned mine lands and ecosystem restoration.
Ms. Bell became involved with the Insular Areas by assisting the Republic of Palau’s Office of Public Auditor with planning the Koror-Airai Sanitation Project (KASP) audit. In addition, Ms. Bell has provided audit planning training to participants during the Lakewood Experience and has provided requested Blue Book training to the Federated States of Micronesia Office of the National Public Auditor.
Ms. Bell began her Federal career in April 2010, working with the Defense Contract Audit Agency and performing and leading numerous audits. Ms. Bell received her Accounting Degree from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania and is a Certified Fraud Examiner through the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
